Although I have never served in the military, I am a proud American. I am amazed by the sacrifices made by those who serve our country to protect our liberties and freedoms, as well as the families who sacrifice their loved ones being away. I developed the Purple Heart Program as a way to say thank you and honor those who have received a Purple Heart in service to our country. It started with building a guitar for Carl Hutchens, who served in the US Army during Viet Nam. From there I have established a fund raising effort to help me put a custom built guitar in the hands more heros.
