maui strong
When a representative from Maui Health contacted me about building a guitar as a donation for an auction to raise money for the dozens of medical personnel who lost everything in the summer of 2023 fire that devastated the island, my response was..."When do you need it?" The next thing I wanted to know was if she could provide me some salvaged wood to make the instrument more authentic. The top of Maui Strong is a piece of mango shipped from Maui to be part of the project. It is backed with mahogany with the awesome tone coming from a set of Seymour Duncan Brad Paisley LaBrea pickups, and finished out with Rode Hard aged hardware.
